Carlisle Stonyholm. 18 Hole run by Carlisle City Council is cheap and accessible to all.

 

Powfoot Golf Club, 18 Hole Links Course with masses of Gorse

 

Silloth Golf Club, 18 Hole Links Course Held the Amateur Championship in 2013. Fabulous

Southerness 18 Hole Links Course. Another Wonderful Course, well worth the trip

 

Also courses at Penrith, Appleby, Keswick, Lochmaben, Lockerbie, Hoddam Castle, Dumfries, , Colvend, Selkirk, Roxburgh, Galashiels , Hawick,  Peebles, Innerliethen, Greenhead, Slaley Hall, Matfen, Hexham, Bellingham and many others slightly further afield
